New AM Term

I've started teaching another animation course at AnimationMentor.com this week, and CalArts starts back up soon! TwentyTizzle's going to be busy!
I did the above animation with DigiCel's FlipBook. So far I've just got the light version of it, but it's pretty fun to work with. I do wish there were some better paint tools - like PS or Sketchbook Pro's.
Has anyone else used this? Is there a better one out there? Probably Flash huh?

Hi Morgan,
you can try TVPaint. It is a little bit more complex than flipbook, but has an amazing variety of brushes.

Yeah TV Paint is pretty good and is beginning to be used more often, including in the far east - many Chinese studios are beginning to use it.

There is always ToonBoom Animate

Hi Morgan-

Great to see your doing so well! I'm teaching animation at the university of hawaii these days, just thought I'd look you up see whats new with you.
BTW Toon Boom Pencil Check Pro is the best for 2D animation, hands down.

Hi Morgan,

I'm using DigiCell too, my skills are still rudimentary. Didn't know anything about TV paint but I'll check it out.
